Taldumande Youth Services

Good News Friday!

One of the biggest challenges in providing residential care to an increasing number of children and young people is the ongoing maintenance and general wear-and-tear within the properties.

We are incredibly grateful to share our recent success in securing four NSW Government Grants through the Community Building Partnership.

We were delighted to receive a visit from Felicity Wilson MP and Minister Natalie Ward who met with our CEO, Lisa Graham, and our Service Manager for Homelessness Services, Nikki Thomson.

This funding will provide a new kitchen at our crisis refuges in Neutral Bay and Granville, modern flooring at one of our semi-independent properties on the Northern Beaches, as well as fitted wardrobes and extra storage at another semi-independent property located in Willoughby.

This funding is vital in helping us to continue to provide a modern and positive environment for the young people within our care and allows our team to focus their full energy on the therapeutic support of young people, as they navigate their way from crisis to independence.

A huge thank you to Tim James MP who presented our Service Manager, Alison Clentsmith, with a Parliamentary Recognition Statement on Taldumande’s service to the community and also a cheque for the project at our Willoughby property.

Many of our programs fall outside government funding, which means we rely on money raised from individuals and organisations to continue our vital work.
