In a powerful collaboration of music and community spirit, Taldumande Youth Services is partnering with the renowned Sydney Male Choir for a special fundraising concert at Mosman Art Gallery on Sunday, 23rd March at 2:00 PM.
The event aims to raise vital funds to support vulnerable and homeless young people across Sydney—many of whom have faced unimaginable hardships. Taldumande provides essential accommodation and support services, offering young people and children a safe place to rebuild their lives.
For more than a century, the Sydney Male Choir has captivated audiences with its rich harmonies and uplifting performances. From their early days as the Petersham Glee Club in 1913 to their impressive run as finalists on Australia’s Got Talent, the choir has a proud history of bringing joy through song. Now, they are using their voices to make a difference for young people in crisis.
Taldumande Chairperson Virginia Howard said the concert is more than just a musical event—it’s a lifeline for those in need.
"Every night, there are young people across Sydney who don’t know where they’ll sleep. They have been let down, left behind, or simply have nowhere else to go. This concert is an opportunity for the community to come together and show these young people that they are not alone, "Virginia said.
With a diverse repertoire spanning classical, contemporary, and musical theatre, the Sydney Male Choir promises an afternoon of stirring performances. Under the direction of James Paul, the choir continues to push musical boundaries, bringing fresh energy and passion to their work.
Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support.
