Redlands Sleepout for Taldumande

Redlands Sleepout for Taldumande and Youth Homelessness

Redlands Year 10 students held their third annual ‘Sleepout’ on the school grounds to raise funds for Taldumande Youth Services and to gain some valuable insights in what it’s like to sleep rough in the middle of winter.

Students and teachers slept out to raise funds and to gain a deeper understanding of homelessness and how this issue impacts them and the wider community.

Youth worker, Sean and Case Manager, Morgana from Taldumande talked about youth homelessness and how Taldumande’s dedicated team help children and young people from the ages of 12 through to 21 who are doing it tough and don’t have that secure, warm and safe family home to return to every night. Sean and Morgana explained how each of their roles works towards re-building a young person’s life so the final outcome is a confident and strong, independent young person who has the life skills to make a success of their lives.
